Processing of personal data when you apply for a job at Fergas
When you apply for a job with us, data is processed in accordance with the EU Data Protection Regulation GDPR and related national legislation. Below you can read about how we view the responsibility to handle your personal data and how we do in practice. For us, it is important that you take part of and understand this information in order for you to feel safe with our handling of your personal data.
What is personal data?
Personal data is data collected in connection with a job application such as CV, cover letter, name, date of birth, address, phone number, photo, gender, previous work experience, education, grades, personal characteristics and family relationships.
Personal data may be collected on several occasions, for example during interviews and in connection with reference taking in connection with employment. In a recruitment process, various tests may also be included where there may also be processing of personal data.
What should the data be used for and how long is the data stored?
Fergas uses personal data to process your application. The application documents and personal data that you have submitted or that have been collected are saved at Fergas as above. This is done with a balance of interests as a legal basis, for 2 years from the completion of the recruitment process for your most recently applied position. Then the data is deleted. In order to be able to store your personal data longer than that, we need your consent. Fergas are then saved for the purpose of future recruitment processes and stored until you revoke your consent. You can do this at any time by contacting us, or for a period of up to 3 years unless you are up for recruitment.
Who has access to the information?
The information we have is available to Fergas recruiting staff. The information is saved in the ongoing recruitment process and in our CV database, provided that we have obtained your consent to save your personal information. In the case of recruitment involving an external recruitment company, for example in interviews and/or tests, the recruitment company will have access to your personal data.
Deletion, change, or information of data
You have the right to receive information about what information Fergas has about you. You can at any time request that we correct incorrect information or delete information about you. You also have the right to withdraw your consent. We will then delete your application and delete the personal information associated with the application.
